Our Merch Store is Open!

One of the questions we’ve been asked a number of times at Greater Boston/ThirdSight Media is why we don’t have a merch store. The truth is that while we did have one, it had not been updated in a while. So it kind of fell by the wayside.

That changes now.

We’re very excited to share that we finally have an updated ThirdSight Media merch store with designs from all of our shows. This includes teeshirts and mugs with the classic Greater Boston poster design, as well as teeshirts for The Perfect Sentence and Exercises in Sound. If you’re one of the people who have asked us about merch recently (and if you are, thank you so much for your interest and support), you can find some designs over on our Bonfire shop page!

And for newsletter subscribers, we have a coupon code for you! Use the code phrase GREATER to get 15% off of your order from today through January 1, 2026.

Also, for those who prefer physical media or are looking for a unique gift for a podcast lover you love, the audio drama concept album, The Perfect Sentence - released by ThirdSight Media back in July - is available in its entirety over on Jeff Van Dreason’s Bandcamp page in a beautiful 180g double blue transparent vinyl with a gatefold sleeve.

So whether you’re shopping for yourself or for someone else, we have some great ThirdSight options available.

News

Work on Greater Boston Season 5 Has Begun!

The team has started working on Greater Boston’s fifth and final season! More details to come, but it’s planned for a release later in 2026!

Exercises in Sound on Hiatus

After 39 episodes, Alexander Danner’s Exercises in Sound is taking a brief hiatus. Based on Raymond Queneau’s 1947 book, Exercises in Style, Exercises in Sound takes one short scene and reimagines it, over and over, with changes that impact the entire narrative. It’s an experiment in sound design that takes the listener all over the map without losing sight of the story at its core.

The episodes are short, ranging from three to fifteen minutes, so this hiatus is the perfect time to catch up. You can find more information about the show on Exercises in Sound’s website.

North County Paranormal Unit Arrives Early 2026

North County Paranormal Unit is an ongoing book series by ThirdSight Media team member Amanda McCormack. Described as a paranormal workplace drama with a “lo-fi” style, it stars the overcaffeinated and underpaid employees at a suburban branch of New England’s most prestigious paranormal investigation non-profit. Book One was released as an ebook last year, narrated by our very own Pizza Ghost, Leslie Gideon. But now it’s time to rerelease it in podcast form!

The North County Paranormal Unit (NCPU#1) audiobook will arrive on podcatchers a few chapters at a time, starting in early 2026. To learn more about the series, you can go to the Enfield Arts website.

New EP from Ghost Tour

Bob Raymonda’s band Ghost Tour has a new EP available over on Bandcamp. So if you want a quick break from podcasts, dip into some brand new music!

New Trailer from Paradigm Shift: Chinatown

Greater Boston’s Dirk Tiede’s animated short, Paradigm Shift: Chinatown now has a new trailer! Sound designed by Alexander Danner, Paradigm Shift: Chinatown is based on Dirk’s paranormal cult comic, Paradigm Shift. Check out the trailer on Youtube!

A Boston-Based Charity for the Giving Season

In every community, no matter how wealthy, there is hunger. Right now, a lot of people are facing hunger and food pantries are seeing more and more clients needing help accessing food and other necessities. The Greater Boston Food Bank both supports local food pantries in the Greater Boston area and feeds people directly.

If you’re looking for a way to help people in need on a very concrete level, feed them. There are many ways to do that in every community, but if you’re unsure where to start, consider a donation to the Greater Boston Food Bank to help feed families throughout Greater Boston and Eastern Massachusetts.

Two New Podcast Recommendations

This is a quiet time for releases at ThirdSight Media, though we are actively working on Greater Boston Season Five among other projects. However, there are brilliant people putting out incredible things right now, so our podcast recommendations for this issue are two new shows we are loving.

Created by Gabriel Urbina and produced by Audacious Machine Creative, The Harbingers is a brand new show about the first two people in thousands of years with magical abilities, and the consequences of this. It’s a twisty, non-linear story of academia and magic. As of this newsletter, there are five episodes available, so it’s a good time to dive in.

Billed as “A Shakespeare Podcast by Actors, for Actors,” Pod’s the Thing gives the listener a peek into performing Shakespeare, as well as Shakespeare’s historical and modern context. Created by Emma Sherr-Ziarko and Felix Trench, Pod’s the Thing explores the ways in which actors approach Shakespeare’s work.

As fiction podcast listeners, we mostly hear the finished product of an actor’s work. But here, the process is the star. The first episode, which focuses on the Tent Scene from Act 4 Scene 3 of Julius Caesar, is now available!

This is our last newsletter until January. So, from the entire ThirdSight Media team, thank you for your support through this past year. We wish you all a healthy and happy new year and we’ll talk to you then!
